(Senior) Software Engineer (m/f/d) Warehouse Control System (WCS)
Your Tasks
As a member of a project team, you will work on implementing innovative and varied intralogistics solutions for our well-known national and international customers.
Responsibilities
As a (Senior) Software Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for creating the WCS software (Warehouse Control System Software). This software is used to control the flow of goods for all necessary transports in an automated warehouse. Your tasks include all control-relevant software topics for the complete automation of our systems:
- You program the individual requirements of our customers, adapt the graphical user interface (GUI) to the customer-specific conditions, design interfaces to higher-level customer systems and implement them
- You will work with different programming languages and tools such as C++, Linux, C#, .NET Framework, Azure DevOps Server, Oracle databases, PL/SQL
- You carry out testing remotely or on site at our customers' premises, put the software into operation and accompany the customer until acceptance
- You complete your project by creating user documentation, carrying out project-specific training and handing over the project to our internal customer service team before moving on to the next project
- After your induction, you will work closely with our customers, sales and other internal departments to understand the technical requirements and specifications and then document them in the form of a functional specification and an interface description
What You Bring To The Table
- A technically oriented apprenticeship, a degree in (business) informatics, electronics or a comparable qualification - alternatively relevant practical experience in the IT environment
- You have several years of knowledge of the C++ programming language, ideally supplemented by experience with C#
- You have sound practical experience in dealing with SQL-based databases (preferably Oracle) and you are comfortable using Azure DevOps, especially in source code management and cross-team collaboration
- Ideally, you have knowledge of software testing, e.g. through ISTQB certification or equivalent experience
- You communicate confidently in German and English
- You are willing to travel nationally and internationally - depending on the respective project phase (travel share approx. 30%)
- You are a reliable team player (m/f/d) with the ability to work on tasks independently and make decisions according to the situation
