Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep experience in building scalable, secure software solutions. This role demands a proactive engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong focus on quality, security, and maintainability.

Key Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-time professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
• Proven ability to build and consume RESTful APIs and asynchronous event-driven services
• Strong understanding of software security principles, especially in healthcare or financial domains.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs and asynchronous event-driven endpoints to implement core business logic
• Develop reusable libraries and components to improve efficiency across the team’s technology stack
• Ensure software securely handles sensitive health and financial data, adhering to regulatory and compliance standards
• Collaborate effectively within the team and cross-functionally to align work efforts with product goals
• Participate actively in design and code reviews to maintain high code quality and share knowledge

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Experience with API types: REST, AMQP, GraphQL
• Skilled in writing testable, maintainable, and secure business logic
• Background in operating event-driven microservices
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS
• Experience integrating and maintaining third-party services
• Proficient with message brokers and event streaming technologies (e.g., AWS SNS/SQS, Azure ServiceBus)
• Prior work in high-security environments such as healthcare or payments
