Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa invites a seasoned design and marketing professional to join our satellite support office in Denver. This person will play a pivotal role in the marketing operations of our award-winning, Colorado destination as well as the nonprofit 501(c)(3), Headwaters Center and Headwaters River Journey, our real estate development interests, and associated hospitality and real estate concerns in Grand County. Nestled in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains, Devil's Thumb Ranch is renowned for its elegant accommodations, world-class dining, and unparalleled outdoor adventures. Principle Purpose of Job

The Graphic Designer & Creative Marketing Lead collaborates with the Team to develop all creative communications across multiple brands and tactics, including web, design, advertising, photography, and asset development and management. The primary focus of this position is assisting the Creative Director in the design and production of digital, print, or other collateral mediums that meet brand specifications and support all marketing efforts. Additionally, this position will contribute to the development and implementation of the overall marketing strategy and tactics.

This position would require the Graphic Designer & Creative Marketing Lead to work with the Marketing, Sales, and Operations Teams, not only on Devil’s Thumb Ranch-related projects, but also to support the Headwaters Center and Headwaters River Journey, ROAM and related entities, as well as a number of other companies under our purview at any given time. An ability to work collaboratively with a wide array of stakeholders is necessary for this position. Switching between several brands/businesses with agility, while upholding the brand integrity of each separate entity, is integral to this position.

This position is based on-site in our Denver, CO office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on the brand and creative standards, ensuring projects follow the brand criteria set forth by the organization and Creative Director.
  • Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment with other departments, leaders, and members of the organization.
  • Keeps track of Marketing Requests coming in from the organization and executes simple edits/updates (menu updates, signage/poster updates, seasonal changeouts, etc.) to be presented to the Creative Director for review.
  • Monitors and audits any printed signage or collateral created outside of the Marketing Department and modifies it to meet cohesive brand standards if necessary.
  • Assist with the upkeep of 6+ websites, including ongoing updates based on product and event updates.
  • Assist the Creative Director with building new websites (built on a Wordpress platform) for entities as such projects are requested of the team.
  • Strategizes, develops, maintains, and Administers all Websites and digital assets, including regular audits for quality assurance under the guidance of the Creative Director.
  • Conceptualizes and Designs Advertising Print and Collateral, including collaboration with the Creative Director, copywriter, other organizational stakeholders, or creative agencies.
  • Supporting the creation of paid digital creative deliverables and assisting with associated tracking where needed.
  • Support database e-mail design for 5+ Brands by working with the Marketing Team to develop content and provide creative options to build fully functional campaigns in MailChimp.
  • Other Marketing/Sales-related duties and takes on delegated projects as requested by the Creative Director, Director of Marketing, and/or Chief Revenue Officer, from conception to implementation, with support from the marketing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in marketing, advertising, or graphic design.
  • 4–6 years of graphic design and/or other related marketing experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously to carry delegated projects to fruition.
  • Hospitality/resort experience preferred.
  • Expertise in print and digital design (websites, banner ads, social media graphics).
  • Knowledge of HTML5/CSS for digital ads, email, and site development.
  • Proficient in photo retouching and illustration.
  • Familiarity with project management tools.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Acrobat).
  • Strong understanding of web-based marketing and business use of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Hootsuite).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities, able to work under pressure.
  • Customer-focused, professional, reliable, and solution-oriented.
  • Able to drive within an 80-mile radius and lift up to 25 lbs.

Compensation Description:

$70,000 - $85,000/yr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.
