Your new task:
As a GCP Cloud Engineer you will take on exciting tasks in the rapidly developing Cloud environment from the very beginning.You do not perform any test or control activities twice by hand, but automate consistently using common tools.
• Track feature requests, bug reports
• Support planning of resources, capacities, operational requirements, security
• Preparation of changes (planning, validation, testing, staging)
• Support in the use of ITIL operational processes / platform support
• Support for use and development of automations, scaling, CI/CD workflows, Git
• Specific platform configurations, network, application, security
• Tracking of feature requests, bug reports
• Analysis of platform incidents
• General process optimization, ITIL support
• Creation of performance KPIs
Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional experience in the IT industry or telecommunications; ideally you already have extensive experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other Hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Understanding of cloud engineering methods, applications, and best practices across cloud service providers.
• Experience assessing, customizing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining current and emerging technologies, platforms, and applications to help ensure greater security and efficiencies.
• Experience with cloud orchestration tools and continuous delivery processes to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure for customers to consume (DevOps)
• Experience with modern tools for collaboration in an agile environment (e.g. GitHub, JIRA, Confluence). Ability to assess technical solutions and find creative approaches to solutions
• Demonstrated proficiency in automating processes with GitHub, Ansible, Terraform, Packer, PowerShell, Python, including use of remote APIs
• Experience working with containers and container orchestration systems and hardening practices.
• Experience implementing, managing, and supporting security products to protect workloads on the platform.
• GCP Digital Leader / Cloud Engineer, AWS Cloud Practitioner / Technical Essentials and/or Azure Fundamentals certifications or higher
• Fluent English
