Job Overview

We are looking for an IT professional to join our team and work on CAD/PDM systems (mainly CATIA and related platforms). The role combines software development, customization, maintenance, and user support for customers in automotive industry.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and refine user stories with the team
• Design solutions together with system architects and developers
• Develop and implement new features (C++, C#, FORTRAN, scripting)
• Maintain and customize CAD/PDM modules
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs and incidents
• Support users (installation, configuration, ticket handling)
• Deploy and configure CATIA and related systems on UNIX and Windows
• Enhance test automation and system monitoring
• Write documentation for new and updated features
• Manage software licenses

Technologies:

• CAD/PDM systems: CATIA V4, V5, V6, Metaphase, Aras Innovator, 3DEXPERIENCE

• Programming:

• C++ (CAA framework)

• C# (Aras server)

• FORTRAN (legacy CATIA V4 modules)

• UNIX scripting

• Deployment & CI/CD: GitLab, Jenkins, ANT

• Integration: REST, YAML, Web Services

Qualifications

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of CAD/PDM integration (CATIA, Metaphase, Aras, 3DEXPERIENCE)
• Programming experience (C++, C#, FORTRAN, scripting)
• Upper intermediate English language skills (written and spoken)
• Industry knowledge in automotive and/or aerospace is a plus
• Familiarity with agile methods and version control/deployment systems

Nice to Have

• German language at basic communication level
• Understanding of relational databases and web services
• Experience in sales-related software development projects
• T-shaped or π-shaped skills: focus on development but willingness to participate in all stages of the software lifecycle (requirements, UI design, QA, test automation, deployment, release, support)
