Job Title: Lead Visual Designer (Web, Mobile, Brand)

Location: 100% Remote

Reports To: Design Director

Compensation: $85-$100/hr

Duration: Contract, 6-12+ Months, 40/hrs per week

We are currently seeking a talented Principal Visual Designer to elevate digital experiences and set new standards in visual and user-centric design.

Our health and science-based client is searching for a Lead-Level Product Designer for a 6-12+ month contract. They are looking for someone to set a new standard for Visual and UX Design across a portfolio of groundbreaking digital products. This position is for someone who can elevate brand-to-interface experiences with an impeccable eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

Visual Direction & Execution

• Set the Visual Direction: Define the mood, tone, look, and feel of future digital products and services, translating vision into high-fidelity prototypes and engaging visual assets.

• Elevate Visual Standards: Conceptualize and produce innovative, pixel-perfect visuals that showcase mastery in typography, color theory, layout, and visual storytelling.

• Design Systems: Create and maintain scalable design systems and style guides to ensure consistency and accessibility across multiple platforms.

Strategic Collaboration & Leadership

• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders to align design strategy with business objectives and user needs.

• Persuasive Communication: Present and justify design concepts, prototypes, and final deliverables to senior leadership with clarity and compelling rationale.

• Mentorship & Thought Leadership: Provide thoughtful critique, mentorship, and guidance to other designers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience: Visual design, UI design and UX Design within digital product, web and mobile development environments.

• Portfolio: A beautiful portfolio showcasing best-in-class digital design work across web, mobile, and other platforms, demonstrating expertise in typography, grid systems, layout, and color theory.

• Proven Impact: A track record of shipping high-impact digital experiences that effectively balance business, brand, and user needs.

• Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts clearly and persuasively.

• Creative Leadership: Demonstrated creative leadership with a passion for mentoring and inspiring design teams.
