While this is a really fantastic opportunity, we want to be really candid upfront about the type of candidate that we are looking for. It isn’t good enough that you have a “high skills match” or “like the tech stack”. You need to have led impactful work, and be passionate, self driven and engaged in making a difference through your work at Deep Sentinel. Meeting the minimum qualifications listed below represents the absolute minimum, and simply having a high skills match may not get you to an interview.
We are seeking a talented developer with strong ownership and experience in building mission critical systems. In exchange for a high amount of autonomy, you will be expected to have spent years building reliable, performant production software, monitoring the results, and being highly accountable for the decisions you’ve made. University programs and internships alone don’t represent this kind of experience. We’re a startup, things change quickly, technology changes quickly, and you’ll need a high amount of mental flexibility if you are to thrive.
Additionally, we’re a fully remote team, so you will need to be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
This is truly a Full Stack Developer position, React on the front ends (we have several core UIs), and Python on the back end, riding on MySQL. In addition, we’ll be adopting another programming language this year to round out areas where Python isn’t the right tool; a low technology bias is required. The successful candidate will be expected to own the development of a feature from beginning to end, supported by their peers, QA, and product as necessary.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $140k - $175k annually. Compensation will vary based on geographic location (with bottom of our range representing the lowest cost of living tier in the US and the top of the range represents highest cost of living tier in the US) and a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
