Role Overview

The Principal, Brand Design is a senior individual contributor whose work is recognized beyond Deel. You set the standard for the category, not only for the company. You are here to make work and to raise the ceiling of what this studio believes is possible, by doing it rather than managing it. Above all, be part of the journey to redefine a way of working for people around the world.

Responsibilities

• Industry-level craft: Produces work that stands up against the best in the category and shifts how Deel is perceived in the market.
• Direction at company scale: Sets the visual and conceptual standard the whole studio works to. Owns the evolution of the brand design system.
• Influence: Shapes decisions well beyond their own remit, including how brand and product design connect.
• Talent: Raises the level of everyone around them by working alongside them. Attracts senior talent through reputation and the quality of the work.
• External presence: Represents Deel's creative point of view outside the company.

Qualifications

• Fifteen or more years of professional experience with a body of work recognized in the industry.
• Demonstrated ability to define a visual language or system that others in the field reference.
• Proven ability to operate as a hands-on maker at the most senior level, without a team reporting in.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive decisions through creative argument and evidence.
• Proven ability to pioneer AI-forward creative practice, setting how a studio works rather than adopting what exists.

Our workforce deserves fair and competitive pay that meets them where they are. With scalable benefits, rewards, and perks, our total rewards programs reflect our commitment to inclusivity and access for all.

• Our salary range reflects gross base salary. For commercial roles with commission eligibility, this figure represents On-Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and target commission.
• Salary ranges are quoted in USD as a consistent global reference. Your offer will be localized to your country's currency using a market-aligned conversion.
• Final pay is based on objective, job-related criteria including experience, skills, and location.
• We don't ask about salary history. Offers are based on the role and what you bring to it.
