Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a full-time remote position to lead backend development and systems engineering for our GTA 5 Roleplay server and other core platforms. This role demands deep technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and the ability to handle large-scale server operations with a focus on performance, modularity, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend systems to support real-time game logic, dynamic player interactions, and roleplay server mechanics
• Implement and maintain APIs, database integrations, and in-game economy systems
• Use object-oriented programming (OOP) principles to create scalable and modular codebases
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and designers to ensure seamless server performance
• Optimize server load handling and reduce latency for high-concurrency environments
• Maintain code quality, documentation, and version control best practices
• Integrate with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS for deployment and monitoring

Qualifications

• Strong background in Computer Science fundamentals
• 2+ years of experience in backend development or related fields
• Proficiency in languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Lua
• Experience with game server architecture, particularly FiveM or similar frameworks
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Experience with cloud services (Google Cloud Platform or AWS)
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with FiveM scripting or other GTA RP frameworks
• Experience working with real-time systems or multiplayer game mechanics
• Knowledge of database design and optimization
