The Role

As a Software Engineer – AI/ML, you’ll contribute to the development of Dawnguard’s AI-powered platform, focused on building and integrating AI workloads that power our secure-by-design infrastructure engine. You’ll design intelligent systems that analyze, predict, and generate cloud architectures enabling customers to secure their environments with speed and precision. You’ll work alongside senior engineers, product designers, and security experts to:

  • Design and implement agent workflows with support for multi-turn reasoning.
  • Build scalable data pipelines and backend services for AI/ML workloads.
  • Collaborate on architectural decisions and contribute to product development.
  • Write clean, testable code and participate in peer code reviews.
  • Develop guardrails and grounding strategies to ensure secure and reliable agent outputs.
  • Contribute to observability and monitoring of AI services in production.
  • Anchor agent reasoning in validated data sources to ensure factual accuracy.
  • Deliver production-ready services that scale reliably in real-world environments.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in software engineering, ideally in cloud or cybersecurity domains
  • 1–2 years of experience working with AI/ML systems
  • Familiarity with agentic AI concepts and containerized environments
  • Experience with backend development (Go, TypeScript, Python)
  • Exposure to Azure AI Services or similar platforms
  • Bonus: Experience with computer vision or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
