The Senior Software Developer will play a pivotal role in the Summit Development Group. This role will assist in the design, development, and maintenance of both new and existing code for DataPath’s proprietary Summit software platform. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving capabilities, design expertise, and experience in software development to support the Summit platform's continued success.
On-call support may be required on occasion as business needs evolve.
Primary Location: Remote (Preference for candidates in Central Standard Time Zone).
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hour shift between 6:00 am – 6:00 pm CST
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of development experience is required.
- Developer experience in financial services, core banking, health insurance, accounting, or finance industries is highly desirable.
Primary Job Duties
- Design, Develop, and Maintain Code: Write efficient, well-documented code for the Summit platform using C#, ASP.NET MVC, TSQL, and HTML/JavaScript.
- Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal system performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with international team members and other departments to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Conduct Code Reviews: Review peer code to ensure adherence to coding standards, quality, and technical requirements.
- Assist with Requirements Gathering: Analyze user needs and business objectives to define technical solutions and development priorities.
- Support Platform Stability: Monitor and maintain the Summit platform’s performance, addressing updates and system upgrades as needed.
- Perform Testing and Validation: Write unit tests and work with QA teams to validate new features and enhancements for accuracy.
- Document Development Processes: Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation for team collaboration and future development.
- Stay Current with Emerging Technologies: Keep informed of software development trends and technologies to ensure innovation and efficiency.
- Address On-Call Support as Needed: Provide technical support during on-call shifts or as required by operational needs.
