Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a senior Frontend and UI/UX Developer for AI systems at Data-Hat AI. The developer will be responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces for our AI-driven solutions, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. Daily tasks will include collaborating with the AI and backend teams, translating complex functionalities into user-friendly interfaces, and conducting user research and usability testing. The role involves continuous improvement of the UI and UX based on user feedback and technological advancements.

The role combines both a frontend development role with a UI/UX design role. The right candidate will be open to using Vercel, Cursor, etc. and do development that may not be just the frontend down the road. This is a startup and you will be doing many roles as needed.

Specific requirements

• Must have experience as a frontend developer, UI designer and UX expertise with product development
• React, Node.js etc. mandatory
• designing enterprise-grade dashboards, workflows, and data-heavy interfaces.
• Skilled in creating design systems and component libraries in Figma.
• Strong understanding of information hierarchy, user flows, and UX patterns for productivity tools.
• Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG) and optimizing designs for performance and clarity.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Exposure to AI, Generative AI and AI Agents preferred
• Experience with frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices
• Experience in user research, usability testing, and prototyping
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field is preferred
• Understanding of AI concepts and familiarity with AI-driven applications is a plus
