Health Economist/Data Scientist

Dark Peak Analytics provides expertise at the intersection of health economics and data science. Our work focuses on the development and deployment of health economic decision models to aid decision making in pharmaceutical and global population health space. We have a growing team of world-leading experts in data-science for health economics, all of who work at the cutting edge of health economics and decision science. We lead teaching and development activities, with an aim of shifting the HEOR industry towards script-based models while having fun solving interesting problems and meeting new people at the same time.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a mid-level health economist, although we have arranged meet-ups held around events and conferences (generally in Europe) to foster a collaborative atmosphere with our wider network of contractors.

The Health Economist will be responsible for:

• Building bespoke health economic models in R and Excel
• Developing software to aid in health economic evaluation
• Building and deploying web-based user-interfaces for models
• Adapting and delivering teaching and code walkthroughs

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health Economics, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
• Strong technical capability in R & Git/GitHub (+ shiny + package development preferred)
• Strong understanding of statistics and modelling for health economics
• Experience developing and reviewing health economic models
• Wider experience of Health Economics and Outcomes Research
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Desire to progress to take ownership of project areas in a small rapidly growing company
