We’re looking for an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join a fast-growing SaaS company transforming collaboration in the financial sector. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the design and development of scalable backend systems, APIs, and data services that power a suite of cutting-edge applications.

This is a full-time permanent position that will pay 180K – 220K depending on experience. No C2C or candidates that require sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core)
Implement secure, scalable GraphQL APIs using HotChocolate
Work with PostgreSQL and SQL Server, optimizing queries and ensuring data integrity
Participate in architectural discussions and help shape new features and services
Enforce security best practices and data protection compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in coding, testing, and documentation
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows on Azure

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in .NET backend development (C#, ASP.NET Core)
Production experience with GraphQL (HotChocolate), including DataLoaders and subscriptions
Strong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
Experience with distributed systems, performance tuning, and scalable system design
Familiarity with microservices architecture, message queues (e.g., Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ), and caching strategies
Solid understanding of secure authentication and authorization mechanisms
Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployments (preferably Azure)
Experience with Microsoft Graph API and various Azure services (App Service, Functions, Cosmos DB, etc.)
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures
Knowledge of domain-driven design (DDD), clean architecture, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM templates)
