We’re looking for an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join a fast-growing SaaS company transforming collaboration in the financial sector. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the design and development of scalable backend systems, APIs, and data services that power a suite of cutting-edge applications.
This is a full-time permanent position that will pay 180K – 220K depending on experience. No C2C or candidates that require sponsorship for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core)
- Implement secure, scalable GraphQL APIs using HotChocolate
- Work with PostgreSQL and SQL Server, optimizing queries and ensuring data integrity
- Participate in architectural discussions and help shape new features and services
- Enforce security best practices and data protection compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in coding, testing, and documentation
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows on Azure
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in .NET backend development (C#, ASP.NET Core)
- Production experience with GraphQL (HotChocolate), including DataLoaders and subscriptions
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Experience with distributed systems, performance tuning, and scalable system design
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, message queues (e.g., Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ), and caching strategies
- Solid understanding of secure authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployments (preferably Azure)
- Experience with Microsoft Graph API and various Azure services (App Service, Functions, Cosmos DB, etc.)
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures
- Knowledge of domain-driven design (DDD), clean architecture, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM templates)
