SUMMARY
The Project Manager will work within the PMO to focus on leading a project team including end user and third party providers’ project delivery. Responsible for successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project. Responsibilities include set expectations for project team; lead meetings; and deliver projects on time within budget and scope.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Establish coordinate, and maintain the relationship with the client, third parties/vendors and all stakeholders for the flawless execution of projects.
· Develop project charter with project scopes, goals and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
· Ensure that all assigned projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
· Ensure resource availability and allocation.
· Assign work and set expectation for the team.
· Manage projects to make sure schedule is on track.
· Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
· Develop procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives.
· Use verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
· Manage and report project schedules, as well as proactively identifying and resolving risks and issues that may impede successful project completion.
· Provide accurate and timely metrics and data to drive dashboards related to project health and resource availability.
· Review and evaluate project deliverables before release.
· Report and escalate to management as needed.
· Coordinate activities across different organizational functions.
· Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation for stakeholder visibility and for reference after the completion of the project.
· Work with IT management to improve the processes and implementation of best practices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or ABILITIES
· Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
· Ability to understand and manage the project critical path.
· Ability to work effectively in a time critical environment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Project Professional, Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Visio.
