Position: App Marketing Manager - Growth & Retention

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the app’s acquisition, activation, engagement and retention strategy.
• Plan and manage the app’s launch and post-launch growth campaigns.
• Drive relevant user acquisition through paid, organic, community and referral channels.
• Improve onboarding, profile completion and first-time user activation.
• Build lifecycle campaigns across push notifications, in-app communication, email and WhatsApp.
• Segment users based on their profiles, interests, requirements and platform activity.
• Design campaigns that encourage users to return, connect and participate meaningfully.
• Create referral and invitation programmes to support community-led growth.
• Analyse user funnels, cohorts, drop-offs and retention patterns.
• Conduct structured experiments across onboarding, communication, content and engagement.
• Lead App Store Optimisation, including app descriptions, keywords, visual assets, ratings and reviews.
• Work closely with the product, technology, design, data and community teams.

What We Are Looking For

• 4-7 years of experience in mobile-app marketing, growth marketing or lifecycle marketing.
• Demonstrated experience in growing a mobile app across acquisition, activation and retention.
• Experience with a professional network, community platform, marketplace, SaaS, fintech or consumer internet product would be valuable.
• Working knowledge of platforms such as Firebase, CleverTap, MoEngage, WebEngage, AppsFlyer, Adjust, Mixpanel or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of app attribution, cohort analysis, funnel optimisation and user segmentation.
• Ability to convert user data into clear product and marketing actions.
• Strong ownership, analytical thinking and execution capabilities.
• Experience supporting an app through its initial launch or early growth stage would be preferred.
