Engagement & Infrastructure team (E&I) supports the broader Public Policy department that shapes the legislative, regulatory, and reputational environment in which our business operates. The teams within the department have varying data infrastructure and tooling needs to effectively engage with hosts, guests, politicians, regulators, and opinion leaders. E&I’s technology stack leverages a combination of internal and external products that collectively inform the Policy team’s strategies and scale our messaging and data in support of fair short-term-rental regulations.
This role requires analytic expertise to curate audiences for political outreach, compliance and reputational marketing. Additionally, this person will glean insights from the Policy team’s digital and offline efforts. Through visualizations and proactive analysis, this person will make the efficacy of our work and insights from it accessible to the Policy team and cross-functional partners supporting our reputational, legislative and advocacy efforts. This role will also dive into the nuances of our tooling and data integrations, intersecting with non-technical and technical stakeholders.
Duties:
Build custom marketing audiences, collaborating with the E&I production team to launch and optimize outbound marketing campaigns, including email, push, SMS, and in-product messaging.
Leverage behavior based audience criteria and learnings from previous outreach/experiments to drive strong engagement, offer relevant personalization and maintain channel health.
Proactively offer insights to evolve marketing audience and content strategies, and offer reactive support for ad hoc analytics asks.
Manage the integration of external data for Policy stakeholders into databases and marketing platforms, including data provided by the Policy teams and data acquired through vendors/partnerships.
Support paid social audience custom targeting for users
Support curation of policy stakeholder audiences for curated social insights monitoring
Work closely and cross functionally with Data Science and Engineering partners to represent Policy marketing and comms data structures and needs. Incorporate user and behavior attributes generated by others teams across our company, including data ingested from 3rd parties, into Policy’s audience strategy.
Build relationships with local and regional Policy Comms teams around the world to support their local data and analytics needs.
Requirements:
4+ years experience in business intelligence and data analytics.
Strong ability to work with complex data sets to produce custom audiences and validate the quality of results.
Experience analyzing marketing campaigns performance, including email, SMS, push, in-app, outbound calling, direct mail, and paid media (search marketing, paid social)
Expertise designing and running marketing experiments.
Talent for breaking down complex technical concepts into common language and acting as a bridge between technical and departmental stakeholders.
Experience working with complex and big data systems across a multitude of relationships and metrics. Ability to apply a creative and nuanced perspective to look beyond common data indicators in order to meet business goals.
Ability to self-serve and take the initiative to find answers to technical questions.
Familiarity with B2C marketing, political/advocacy marketing is a plus.
