Analytics Engineer / Data Platform Lead

Custom Capital is a rapidly scaling, cross-border real-estate investment and finance platform. We deploy institutional capital into high-yield, asset-backed strategies — and we’re building one of the most sophisticated data architectures in private real estate.

We’ve grown from $2M → $25M revenue in three years, and we’re now integrating marketing operations directly into the firm’s core analytics engine. The result: a unified growth, data, and intelligence platform that turns marketing insights into investment outcomes.

We’re seeking a data-driven builder who can own, operate, and optimize our full modern data stack — from ingestion to activation — and partner directly with leadership across Technology, Growth, Finance, and Credit. Your work will power executive dashboards, investor reporting, and business intelligence that informs hundreds of millions in transaction value.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipelines: Manage and optimize Fivetran and Airbyte connectors feeding AlloyDB and Snowflake
• Modeling: Build and maintain dbt transformations (staging → mart → analytics)
• Warehouse: Tune Snowflake for cost, performance, and governance
• Automation: Integrate Make.com, Hightouch, and HubSpot/Monday.com
• Visualization: Deliver actionable, real-time dashboards in Sigma (and Looker Studio)
• Governance: Work closely with our GRAC (Governance, Risk, Assurance, & Compliance) team to ensure data lineage, access control, and audit readiness
• Cross-Functional Enablement: Translate technical outcomes into business impact for executives, investors, and capital partners

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in modern data engineering, analytics engineering, or full-stack BI development
• Mastery of SQL, dbt, and data warehouse modeling
• Strong experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, and Airbyte
• Experience integrating CRM / marketing platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
• Comfortable in reverse ETL (Hightouch, Census) and automation tools (Make, Zapier)
• Familiarity with Python and API data ingestion a plus
• Proven ability to design auditable, well-documented pipelines aligned to SOC-2 / ISO-27001 frameworks
• High EQ and communication skills — you can brief executives and coach non-technical teams
• (Bonus) Real-estate, private-equity, or financial-services experience
