Are you an experienced Product Developer with a passion for creating innovative products in the homeware, kitchenware, and children’s toys sectors? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoy collaborating across teams to bring products to life? If you’re based in the UK and have previous experience in product development, we want to hear from you!

We are working with a forward-thinking client who is looking for a highly organised and proactive Product Developer to join their growing team. This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK.

As a Product Developer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and launching new products, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and align with the brand’s vision. You'll work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and other stakeholders to manage timelines, coordinate shipments, and oversee product quality across various categories including homeware, kitchenware, and children’s toys.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development & Ideation

  • Lead the design and development process for new products, taking them from concept to launch.
  • Work closely with internal teams on product ideation, prototyping, and production to ensure alignment with brand guidelines.

2. Market Insights & Trend Research

  • Dive deep into market research to uncover emerging trends, product ideas, and competitor offerings within homeware and toy categories.
  • Present your findings to help shape product strategies and support decision-making.

3. Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination

  • Oversee the scheduling of shipments, liaise with suppliers, and handle any shipping or delivery issues to ensure smooth operations.

4. Sample Coordination & Feedback Management

  • Manage the end-to-end process of sample coordination with suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring timely feedback is collected and implemented.

5. Supplier Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure products meet quality standards and timelines are met.

6. Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work alongside Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams to align on product details, pricing, and timelines, ensuring seamless product launches.

7. Critical Path Monitoring

  • Keep track of the development stages and ensure that products are ready for market launch on time, managing all tasks along the critical path.

8. Artwork & Design Briefs

  • Develop artwork briefs for the design team, ensuring that product visuals align with specifications.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: You’ve worked in product development, preferably in homeware, kitchenware, or toys. Experience within the UK market is a must.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a quick learner of new software tools.
  • Organisational Skills: You’re highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Communication: You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Team Player: You’re collaborative, adaptable, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Problem Solver: You can identify issues quickly and implement practical solutions with ease.
  • Passion for Trends: You stay on top of trends in homeware and product design and are eager to bring fresh ideas to the table.

Requirements:

  • Location: UK-based with experience in the UK market.
  • Experience: Prior experience in product development (ideally within homeware, kitchenware, or toys).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Design, Business, or a related field.

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real impact and grow within a forward-thinking company, this is the opportunity for you. Apply today and be part of a team that's dedicated to bringing high-quality, innovative products to market!
