Role Summary:
The Director, Marketing Technology will be the driving force behind CST’s digital transformation, leading the development and execution of a high-performing marketing and sales enablement technology stack. This role will play a pivotal part in accelerating customer acquisition, deepening engagement, and enhancing the overall customer journey across CST’s service offerings.
As a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team, you will be responsible for integrating cutting-edge technologies, designing automated marketing journeys, and optimizing digital experiences to increase brand visibility and sales productivity. Your leadership will help shape the overall marketing strategy, ensuring CST remains at the forefront of digital innovation in the financial services industry.
What you will be doing:
Digital Strategy & Performance Optimization
- Partner with the CMO and key stakeholders to develop and implement a scalable digital marketing and sales enablement roadmap.
- Continuously refine the strategy based on data insights, emerging trends, and business objectives.
- Create compelling business cases to secure funding and resources for high-impact digital initiatives.
- Lead the execution of AI-driven marketing automation, optimizing lead nurturing and customer engagement.
- Leverage marketing technology to drive lead generation and conversion-focused campaigns.
- Implement a data-driven, test-and-learn approach to enhance performance and optimize KPIs.
- Oversee SEO and search marketing innovations, leveraging AI and analytics for performance gains.
- Continuously track, measure, and optimize marketing performance, providing actionable insights.
- Provide clear, data-driven marketing performance reports to executive stakeholders, highlighting strategic recommendations.
- Ensure all digital initiatives align with industry best practices, enhancing usability, accessibility, and brand reputation.
- Stay ahead of digital trends and competitive intelligence to maintain CST's leadership in the financial services market.
Digital Platform & Technology Leadership
- Oversee the management and evolution of CST’s websites, digital assets, and marketing automation tools.
- Continuously optimize digital platforms for better usability, scalability, and conversion performance.
- Enhance user journeys to maximize engagement and drive lead conversions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, IT) to deliver seamless and effective digital experiences.
- Identify and integrate third-party applications to enhance CST’s marketing technology ecosystem.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring SLAs and project timelines align with business needs.
- Lead the implementation of marketing automation workflows to optimize lead generation and conversion rates.
- Utilize marketing analytics to refine strategy and drive continuous performance improvements.
- Oversee SEO strategies to improve organic search visibility and rankings.
- Ensure digital projects meet high standards for user experience, accessibility, and brand consistency.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and develop a high-performing marketing technology team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Encourage innovation and professional growth within the team.
- Recognize team achievements while providing ongoing coaching and development.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and role transitions for new team members.
- Collaborate on annual budgeting and business planning for marketing initiatives.
- Oversee budget management, ensuring strategic allocation of marketing technology resources.
- Present executive-level dashboards with strategic insights and optimization opportunities.
What you bring:
- University degree or college diploma in a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience leading digital marketing teams, with 3–5 years of management experience in an online direct-to-consumer channel.
- Proven experience driving growth as a results-oriented digital marketer.
- Experience guiding organizations through digital transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging and investing in marketing technology to achieve positive ROI.
- Hands-on experience with automated marketing platforms and customer journey design (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- Preferred: Experience in the financial services sector with exposure to building digital programs in complex regulatory and sales environments.
- Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to align business objectives, identify constraints, and develop effective solutions.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, best practices, and demonstrated thought leadership in the field.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, paired with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to execute flawlessly, delivering projects on time and within budget.
- A collaborative team player with a focus on fostering a positive, results-driven environment.
- Coding and editing skills in HTML and JavaScript (an asset but not required).
- Fluency in French (an asset but not required).
