About The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Principal Software Engineer-Platform Architect (CI/CD) to own and drive our comprehensive Enterprise, IT Operations CI/CD Infrastructure needs on a global scale. This senior leadership position will be responsible for architecting, executing, enhancing, and presenting our CI/CD transformation strategy with minimal oversight. As a cross-functional leader, you will own DevOps operations ensuring teams are able to cohesively execute across our enterprise infrastructure landscape. The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical depth in DevOps-CI/CD-IaC processes as well as technical management chops -combined with strategic vision- and the capability to influence our organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement and be the technical lead for IT Operations global CI/CD Infrastructure.
  • Works closely with Development & QA teams worldwide to address their concerns and requirements for the test, development, build and deployment process.
  • Ensure code quality and health during a rapid development process by incorporating tools such as static code analysis, code coverage, unit testing, etc. into the development process without slowing people down.
  • Continually investigates new tools and practices that will help developer productivity.
  • Provides senior architect level technical consulting in design and implementation of CI/CD processes in the form of pipelines for the delivery of software across the enterprise.
  • Strategize best ways for architecting continuous deployment for dynamically growing microservices based platform in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Defines and rolls out best practices for CI/CD across the full SDLC.
  • Partners with delivery groups to define roadmaps for CI/CD and curates their development.
  • Acts as Product Owner for DevOps Tooling solutions.
  • Defines Enterprise-wide IaC, CI/CD and DevOps patterns based on industry best practice.
  • Partners with the Security team and ensure best Security principles.
  • Works with Enterprise infrastructure teams to determine direction of new CI/CD tooling and plan rollouts.
  • Serves as an “evangelist” in the CI/CD community who can contribute to external conferences and debate around CI/CD, SDLC and Quality Engineering at scale.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or related field preferred. Masters highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable 15+ years of experience in System Administration, Application Development, Programming languages, (min. 6+ years “Staff level position” or higher).
  • 10+ years of experience in System Architecture, Application Development, Programming Languages or related to CI/CD.
  • Deep hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or current hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience.
  • Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required.
  • Experience managing, organizing and leading large complex technology projects with high risk.
  • Public or Private Cloud certification (Architect level).
  • K8S certification (CKA, CKAD).
  • Experience working in a highly complex and scaled global SaaS company.
  • Awareness of emerging trends in CI/CD Engineering.
  • Relevant experience of agile technology teams.
  • Hands on coding experience with Java or another modern language.
  • Exposure to modern software development practices and technology stack.
  • Possess the judgement to plan and accomplish goals with minimal supervision.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal English with the ability to prepare and communicate high level application designs and concepts to management and peers.

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $155,000 - $270,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
