Position: Senior Open Source Engineer

Compensation: $150/hr (flexible, starting rate)

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)

• Contribute to well-known open-source repositories with production-quality code.
• Author, review, and manage Pull Requests (PRs) in large and complex codebases.
• Merge new features and fixes while maintaining code quality and project standards.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams on open-source development workflows.
• Ensure robustness, scalability, and maintainability of contributed code.

Requirements

• Strong, demonstrated experience contributing to major open-source projects (e.g., GitHub).
• Proven ability to author, review, and merge Pull Requests in large codebases.
• Strong software engineering background with professional industry experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to start immediately and work independently in a remote environment.
