Graphic Designer (FreeCAD) | $65/hr Remote

Position: FreeCAD Expert (BIM & IFC Focus)

Role Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end parametric modeling projects in FreeCAD from concept to production-ready deliverables.
• Utilize BIM methodologies and IFC workflows to coordinate and document building models (walls, slabs, structural elements).
• Import, export, and validate IFC data to ensure interoperability across CAD/BIM platforms.
• Develop and manage constrained sketches, parametric model trees, and structured building components.
• Prepare detailed documentation sets including technical drawings and model exports (STEP, STL, DXF, IFC).
• Clearly articulate modeling strategies, BIM structuring decisions, and interoperability considerations.
• Collaborate with technical teams to document workflow rationale supporting AI learning initiatives.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in FreeCAD with a portfolio of complex completed projects.
• Proven experience managing full parametric 3D CAD workflows from concept to final output.
• Strong practical knowledge of BIM methodologies and IFC standards within FreeCAD environments.
• Experience structuring building models and managing interoperability data.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, CAM, and related 3D CAD tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong documentation capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative setting.
