Position: Climate Data Scientist

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $50–$60/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and refine climate analysis tasks involving environmental databases, geophysical datasets, and climate model data.
• Create detailed evaluation rubrics to assess AI performance in scientific and environmental data interpretation.
• Collaborate asynchronously with global experts to validate AI outputs in the context of real-world climate research.
• Design scenarios that test model understanding of environmental systems, data modeling, and predictive analysis.

Requirements

• PhD in Climate Science, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geophysics, Atmospheric Science, or a related discipline from a top university in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
• Strong professional research experience in climate or environmental data analysis.
• Experience with environmental databases such as NOAA, EPA, EIA, USGS, or NASA Earth Data.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce scientifically accurate content.
