Position Title: Junior Web Developer

Report to: Senior Web developer
Educational or Certification Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, information technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in web support and development and web systems deployment and integration.
Job Responsibilities:
ยท Web Technical Support, troubleshoot HTML/CSS/JavaScript/PHP & other technical issues related to web systems leading to resolution.
- Help maintain and troubleshoot aspects of various web sites and eCommerce shopping cart.
- Provide assistance with general web concerns and issues submitted through ticketing systems.
- Provide assistance in issues related to the Content Management System and SharePoint.
- Integrate websites with back-end systems, such as databases.
- Experience setting up new web platforms to include integrations with additional systems.
- Integration work with email system, e-commerce system, CRM/database and web platform, as well as future software projects as they are rolled out. This includes the necessary work to troubleshoot, research, maintain and upgrade current and future systems.
- Develop, troubleshoot and monitor digital activities.
- Stay up to date on the latest technologies and digital platforms to continue to expand and enhance our digital presence and provide industry-leading experiences.
- Provide technical assistance to teams and partners as needed.
- Develop and execute testing plans.
- Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people inside and outside of Cross.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience (preferred):
- Familiar with providing tier 3 level support for issues involving unexpected behavior with application interface or backend code.
- Proficient with current web design languages; including HTML, CSS (sometimes with SCSS or SASS), and (Vanilla) JavaScript, node.
- Competent at developing and deciphering programming languages including, but not limited to PHP, MySQL and database queries.
- Knowledge of Netlify Functions, Cloudflare Workers, or other serverless approaches.
- Knowledge of building and integrating APIs.
- Knowledge of hosting environments and servers, FTP protocols and applications.
- Knowledge of and working experience with WordPress, site builders and SharePoint.
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms, shopping cart technologies, and/ or payment service providers (gateways).
- Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels.
- Able to work in a team environment while working independently as needed.
- Ability to engage vendor support on technical and functional issues.
- Competent at analyzing issues and determining possible solutions.
- Ability to develop written documents โ procedures, summaries, reports, etc.
