Our agency is a collaborative, fast-paced environment that relies on creativity to produce innovative work. You’ll be joining a team composed of the most creative, interesting, and talented marketing professionals in the business! We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Strategist with experience in an agency setting and the desire to be a driving force in the growth of our agency. You’ll work within the framework of a supportive team that will depend on you to lead them in the execution of ongoing account tasks, while simultaneously leading clients’ planning, campaigns, strategies, events and activations.
Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Digital Marketing Strategist to lead and optimize integrated digital marketing campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role requires a strong mix of paid media expertise, content strategy, analytics, SEO, and client communication skills. The ideal candidate is proactive, data-focused, highly organized, and experienced in developing digital strategies that drive measurable business growth. This position works closely with account management, creative, and leadership teams to develop campaigns that align with client goals while delivering strong ROI and performance insights.
Core Responsibilities
Advertising & Paid Media Management
- Develop, launch, manage, and optimize multi-channel paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta/Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
- Build strategic paid media plans aligned with client objectives, audience targeting, funnel stages, and budget goals.
- Analyze campaign performance and proactively optimize targeting, creative, bidding strategies, landing pages, and conversion paths to improve ROI.
- Provide strategic recommendations for ad budgets, audience segmentation, remarketing, and campaign scaling opportunities.
- Monitor campaign pacing, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure campaigns are delivering against KPIs.
- Stay current on platform updates, emerging digital trends, and best practices in paid media and digital advertising.
Content Marketing & SEO
- Develop and oversee integrated content strategies across social media, blogs, email marketing, and digital campaigns.
- Create and manage editorial and content calendars that align with client goals, audience interests, and seasonal initiatives.
- Collaborate with writers, designers, and creative teams to produce high-performing digital content and campaign assets.
- Conduct keyword research, SEO audits, competitive analysis, and on-page optimization to improve national and local search visibility.
- Provide strategic guidance on content performance, engagement trends, and organic growth opportunities.
- Support development and editing of compelling marketing copy for ads, websites, blogs, emails, and social media campaigns.
Research & Analytics
- Analyze campaign performance data using Google Analytics, GA4, platform reporting tools, and other analytics platforms.
- Translate complex marketing data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for clients and internal teams.
- Prepare and present recurring performance reports highlighting KPIs, trends, wins, opportunities, and strategic next steps.
- Track customer engagement, lead generation performance, conversion metrics, and overall campaign effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, testing, and optimization across digital marketing initiatives.
Client Strategy & Communications
- Serve as a strategic partner and day-to-day marketing resource for assigned clients.
- Lead or actively participate in client meetings, campaign reviews, onboarding calls, and strategic planning sessions.
- Communicate campaign performance, timelines, recommendations, and digital strategy clearly and confidently to clients and leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with account managers, designers, developers, copywriters, and leadership to ensure campaigns remain aligned and on schedule.
- Support onboarding and troubleshooting related to ad accounts, tracking setup, pixels, analytics, and technical campaign implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 4–6+ years of experience in digital marketing, paid media, or integrated campaign strategy.
- Proven experience managing and optimizing paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other digital platforms.
- Strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, conversion optimization, and digital analytics best practices.
- Experience interpreting marketing data and presenting strategic recommendations to clients or leadership teams.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics/GA4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar analytics and SEO tools.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working within project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp, or similar systems.
- Ability to think strategically while also executing tactically in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Google Ads, Meta, or other platform certifications are a plus.
- Agency experience preferred.
- Graphic design or basic creative production knowledge is a plus, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay and Compensation Package
- Annual Salary: Based on previous level of experience
- $25/month Aflac health benefit (vision, dental, short term leave, etc.)
- Retirement: 401K match up to 4% of your salary (contributed weekly)
- PTO: 3 weeks of combined PTO/Sick Time
- Holidays: 9 company determined paid holidays
