About the Opportunity
This is an AI startup building a personal interior designer for the home, and it's already live nationwide with one of the largest home retailers in the country.
The tech is impressive. Their own computer vision turns any phone camera into a measured 3D model of your room, with no LiDAR needed. Generative AI turns real products from real manufacturers into 3D models. An AI agent then designs the space around your taste, budget and timeline, prices it to the dollar and gets you to checkout. This isn't an image generation wrapper. Everything is built on real products, real rooms and real purchases.
The traction is just as strong. Leaving out contractors, their smallest customer does about $1B in revenue a year. They work with around 16 mostly public manufacturers and distributors across the US, and they just signed the largest distributor in Australia and New Zealand. Bathrooms are live, kitchens are next, then furniture, which covers the entire home. A direct-to-consumer launch is on the roadmap.
The team is about 20 people, mostly engineers, led by a founder with a product design background who is on his fourth startup. It's fully remote, with a team base in NYC and in-person working sessions a few times a year.
The Role
There are no PMs, so you'd be the lead product designer working directly with the founder. You'd own everything from the agent experience to spatial capture and checkout, across consumer, retail, contractor and in-store channels.
The problems here are new. How do you make an AI interior designer feel approachable to everyone, not just the 1%? How do you design around computer vision, generative 3D and agent orchestration for one of the biggest purchases people make for their homes? The team prototypes in Figma and Claude, workshops ideas live and ships fast, and your work goes out to millions of shoppers at national retail scale.
