Job Title: Graphic Designer (Design + Accessibility)

Duration: 2+ Month Full-Time Contract (Potential for long-term/FT)

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a skilled Graphic Designer with a focus on both design and accessibility. This role involves creating print and digital designs, ensuring all materials meet accessibility standards. You will work in InDesign and ensure files are fully compliant with PDF/UA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Print: Design materials like annual reports, brochures, and flyers.
• Digital: Create digital content, including signage, ads, and social media graphics.
• Accessibility: Apply accessibility best practices to design (line breaks, color contrast, heading structure).
• PDF Compliance: Ensure PDFs meet PDF/UA standards, using tools like PAC to verify accessibility.
• Headings: Structure headings properly (H1, H2, H3) and maintain document layering for accessibility.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in InDesign for print and digital design.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards and PDF/UA compliance.
• Familiarity with accessibility tools (PAC, etc.) for checking PDFs.
• Ability to manage both design and accessibility tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Own laptop required.
