The Role

Ready to build something great? We’re looking for a skilled Full-Stack Software Engineer to help develop and enhance our platform. Working closely with our product team, you’ll bring ideas to life while honing your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. If you love problem-solving and creating seamless user experiences, we’d love to have you on board!

As a Full Stack Software Engineer your responsibilities will include:

• Write clean, easily maintainable code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to industry best practices.
• Working across frontend and backend components of our platform, including our WebRTC based video conferencing solution, third party integrations, and our internal and external application.
• Contribute to technical documentation and communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Embrace experimentation, using data to test and iterate quickly on new features, with a focus on delivering measurable improvements.
• Focus on delivering high-quality software solutions that drive meaningful outcomes for patients, clinicians, and healthcare providers.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as required.

Desirable experience and skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, developer, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience of a full-stack engineer delivering production-ready systems using modern technologies.
• Strong proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React or Vue) and CSS pre/postprocessors (e.g. SASS, PostCSS) and CSS Modules.
• Strong proficiency with server-side languages and frameworks (e.g. Node.js/Express).
• Experience with SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
• Experience with developer tooling such as Webpack
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and Playwright.
• Familiarity with Agile practices, especially Scrum and Sprint software lifecycles.
• Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute as part of a team.
• A demonstrated love of clean, maintainable code.
• Initiative and ability to self-manage your own workload.
• Self-motivation and ability to self learn in a remote workplace.
• Innovative problem solving abilities.
• Expertise in building and consuming robust and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.

You Might Also Have:

• Familiarity with AWS and associated services like EC2, RDS, & ECS.
• Experience withScala for backend development.
• Experience integrating with third-party services.
• Microservices & serverless architecture experience.
• Worked in a TDD environment.
• Sound security understanding, and the ability to know when to pause and escalate.
• Understanding of SOLID principles.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g. Sentry, Datadog)
