Principal Product Marketing Manager (requires experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud platform)
Salary: $200K - $220K base
Location: fully remote
Summary:
This position requires in-depth understanding of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) or Search as a Service technical solutions (examples include Solr, LucidWorks, MongoDB, and/or Elasticsearch, etc.).
As the Principal Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for crafting and executing product marketing strategies that target engineering and IT buyers, drive enterprise adoption, and support exponential revenue growth.
This senior-level position requires close collaboration with sales, partnerships, and product leadership to align strategies and enable the organization to execute effectively at scale.
- This role will be instrumental in driving Annual Recurring Revenue/ARR growth. You will not just own strategy, you’ll be executing alongside sellers to expand this company’s footprint with 100+ existing customers and drive net-new growth.
- Requires experience scaling a revenue line from ~$10M to $50M ARR, ideally with an infrastructure-heavy organization (servers, storage, networking).
- Requires 10+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, with a strong preference for experience in hosted search infrastructure or related technologies.
- In-depth understanding of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IAAS) technical solutions (Solr, LucidWorks, MongoDB, and/or Elasticsearch).
- Expertise in crafting go-to-market strategies for technical products targeting engineering, IT, or DevOps buyers.
- Demonstrated success in enabling sales and partnership teams to drive exponential revenue growth. Will work closely with Account Executives to identify and close opportunities.
- Act as the technical “go-to” for revenue teams (crafting business cases, value props, and decks, plus supporting case studies and customer storytelling).
- Will collaborate closely with product team to ensure product feedback loops and infrastructure updates.
Responsibilities:
- Product Positioning: buyer and user personas, product positioning and messaging, and value propositions.
- Revenue-Focused Go-to-Market Strategy: go-to-market, strategic plans, execution, and collaboration.
- Revenue Team Enablement: enablement, sales partnerships, and alliances.
- Competitive Intelligence: market analysis and competitive insights.
- Pipeline Growth and Acceleration: campaign leadership and data analysis.
- Generate High-Value Content: technical storytelling, champion service, and trusted content.
- Customer Advocacy and Case Studies: customer stories and product value.
Requirements:
- First hand experience and understanding of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IAAS): Solr, LucidWorks, MongoDB, and/or Elasticsearch.
- 10+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, with a strong preference for experience in hosted search infrastructure or related technologies.
- Expertise in crafting go-to-market strategies for technical products targeting engineering, IT, or DevOps buyers.
- Demonstrated success in enabling sales and partnership teams to drive exponential revenue growth.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging data to optimize marketing strategies and measure success.
- Exceptional ability to influence and align cross-functional teams, including sales, partnerships, product, and executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering, or a related field. MBA or technical background is highly desirable.
