Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Design Researcher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the design and research efforts to create innovative, user-centered digital products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft compelling and intuitive experiences that meet both user needs and business goals. This role combines design and research expertise, with a strong emphasis on user-centered design practices.
Key Responsibilities:
User Research:
Conduct and evaluate quantitative and qualitative research.
Perform market and ethnographic research.
Plan and execute user research strategies.
Present research findings to a variety of audiences.
Perform usability studies with end users.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Act as a thought leader within the design team, offering strategic input into design direction and process improvements.
Present user research findings, design solutions, and product strategies to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with marketing, development, and product teams to ensure that the designs meet user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to the team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: A degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience is highly valued.
Eligible to get a Top-Secret clearance
2-4 years of experience in a user experience (UX) or research role (or related field)
Strong communication skills with email, Slack, Zoom - we're a distributed team!
Experience performing research-related tasks (e.g. planning, scheduling, evaluation, iteration, synthesis)
Experience creating specific and answerable interview questions
Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product management, and engineering as a strategic partner in product decisions
Experience with remote testing tools
