Location: Vilnius
Team: AI / Product Engineering
About the role
We're a compliance (GRC) SaaS company helping EU fintechs get and stay audit-ready for DORA, ISO 27001, NIS2 and related frameworks. Our AI team builds the automation layer of the product:
- document processing pipelines,
- AI-assisted data imports,
- agent workflows, and
- internal tooling.
This role fits an experienced backend or ex-fullstack developer transitioning into AI engineering. Strong backend fundamentals and the ability to work across languages matter most - the AI side is built on n8n workflows, LLM APIs (Anthropic, AWS Bedrock), and pipeline design, and we support the learning curve for candidates newer to that stack.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain micro-services in a mixed stack - depending on the service this means PHP, Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, or occasionally Python,
- Design and extend AI-powered workflows in n8n: document ingestion, OCR pipelines, data enrichment, agent orchestration,
- Integrate LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, AWS Bedrock) into product features - structured extraction, classification, RAG,
- Work with Postgres (including vector/hybrid search), REST APIs, queues, and webhook-driven integrations,
- Ship features end-to-end with a small team: from a rough idea to something running in production on AWS/EKS.
What we're looking for:
Must have:
- 3+ years backend development experience - JavaScript/TypeScript or PHP as a primary language; ex-fullstack background is a big plus,
- Ability and willingness to switch languages - you don't need to know all of TS, PHP, Go and Python, but you should be the type who picks up a new language in weeks, not quarters,
- Solid fundamentals: API design, SQL/Postgres, debugging distributed services, reading other people's code,
- Practical exposure to LLM APIs or AI tooling is beneficial - production experience not required, we support the transition,
- Pragmatic mindset: you'd rather ship a working version and iterate than architect for six months.
Nice to have:
- Go experience,
- n8n or similar workflow automation tools,
- Vector search / RAG pipelines (pgvector, embeddings, hybrid search),
- Docker/Kubernetes basics,
- Fintech, compliance, or other regulated-domain exposure.
What we offer
- Real AI work in production, not a chatbot demo - pipelines that customers depend on,
- Small team, short decision paths, direct access to product decisions,
- Freedom to pick tools and approaches, as long as it ships and holds up,
- 2,500-4,000 Eur Gross depending on your skills and experience.
How we work
Small AI team inside a product company. We prototype fast, put things in front of users, and iterate based on what breaks. No heavy process, no ticket factories - but production code is reviewed and owned.
