Marketing Lifecycle Manager
Consequence Forum, a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the human consequences of war and geopolitical violence through literature, art, and community events, is seeking a passionate and experienced Marketing Manager to join our growing team! This new volunteer role is crucial in shaping and executing our go-to-market strategy and growing our audience reach, engagement, and monetization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop customer lifecycle strategy and customer touchpoints to connect our marketing campaigns to key stages in customer awareness, engagement, monetization, and retention
- Visually map touchpoints in Lucidchart (or preferred tool)
- Establish goals for key performance indicators for acquisition, churn, and ARPU
- Maintain marketing calendar with activities and campaigns throughout the year
- Oversee technical implementation of marketing touchpoints within existing tech stack ensuring accurate execution and measurement
- Align and measure goals to weekly marketing activities and touchpoints to ensure tactics meet performance goals
- Adapt marketing activities based on results and testing of marketing campaigns
- Manage team of marketing specialists and inspire the team to grow and exceed expectations and performance
- Establish culture of data-driven decision-making and prioritizing marketing tactics as well as a test+learn mindset from marketing staff
- Prepare regular reporting for leadership summarizing key activities, results, and plans to continue improving marketing effectiveness
- Be responsible for achieving revenue objectives for our key product lines: Substack subscriptions, Workshops, and the print journal
Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive experience building earned revenue strategy for media organizations with proven results
- Experience overseeing revenue and marketing activities
- Experience with non-profit organizations and literary journals is preferable
- Comfort with digital products, data, technology and understanding how each can support growing digital revenue
- Proven ability to mentor staff to achieve high-performing marketing team
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated passion for the mission of Consequence Forum
- Ability to commit 3–5 hours per week (average) to this volunteer role
