We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Project Manager to contribute to our high-end interior design firm. This role is pivotal in supporting the Principal Designer by streamlining communication, tracking deliverables, and ensuring every project runs efficiently and beautifully from concept through completion.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of creative understanding and operational excellence. You will be responsible for implementing organizational systems (specifically within Google Drive), managing timelines, and serving as the central hub for project logistics.
Project Management & Coordination
- Workflow Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of multiple design projects, strictly maintaining schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
- Systems Implementation: Create and maintain digital organization systems, specifically setting up structured folders and filing protocols on Google Drive to ensure team accessibility and efficiency.
- Problem Solving: Anticipate potential challenges and proactively identify solutions before issues impact timelines or budgets.
Operations & Procurement
- Procurement: comprehensive management of orders, tracking of deliveries, and coordination of installation logistics.
- Vendor Coordination: Work closely with vendors to maintain workflow; source new vendors and negotiate pricing or contracts when necessary.
- Administrative Support: Handle contracts, proposals, invoices, and other studio operations tasks as needed.
Communication & Quality Control
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless, professional communication.
- Team Support: Collaborate with designers and drafters to ensure design intent is clear across all phases.
- Quality Assurance: Review drawings, samples, and installation progress to maintain the firm’s high standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (Preferred).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in project management within an interior design or architecture firm.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software.
- Strong capability with Google Drive and cloud-based file management.
- Experience with Photo Editing & Presentation Layouts is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of FF&E procurement, lighting design, vendor coordination, and design documentation (including take-offs).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
