We are looking for someone to build the marketing function at Connect Life Sciences.
Not manage it. Build it.

This role will be a cornerstone for the next chapter of CLS. You will help shape how we present in the market, build the systems that support our commercial team, and help drive the company’s next phase of growth.
The role reports directly to the CEO and will have visibility with company leadership and the board.
At the start, you will operate as a department of one, building the foundation, testing ideas, and turning marketing into a real growth engine for the business.
What you will spend your time doing:
• Define and sharpen how CLS talks about itself in the market.
• Design campaigns and outreach programs that turn awareness into conversations with biotech, pharma, and CRO leaders.
• Select and implement a practical marketing tech stack, including CRM and automation tools that support outreach and tracking.
• Build a scrappy but effective marketing automation approach with workflows, sequences, and reporting.
• Work with outside vendors when helpful, such as design or digital specialists.
• Create thoughtful content and perspectives that position CLS as a trusted partner in clinical research.
• Partner very closely with leadership and the business development team to help drive new client growth.

Requirements
• 5+ years of marketing experience, with at least part of that experience within a staffing or recruiting firm.
• Demonstrated ability to operate at both the strategic and execution levels.
• Experience developing sales collateral and marketing materials that support business development teams.
• Experience implementing marketing systems such as CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and reporting dashboards.
• Experience contributing to brand strategy, positioning, and messaging.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
Nice to have:
• Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, CRO services, or clinical research.
• Experience building or scaling marketing in a small or growing organization.
What success looks like in the first year
By the end of the first year, the Marketing Director will have helped Connect Life Sciences take a meaningful step forward in how we show up in the market.
Success will likely include:
• A clear and distinctive CLS voice in the market.
• A practical marketing infrastructure including CRM and automation tools.
• Consistent marketing programs generating awareness and meaningful conversations.
• A growing library of thoughtful content and insights reflecting CLS’s point of view.
• Stronger alignment between marketing, business development, and recruiting.
• Early signs that marketing is contributing to pipeline growth.
