Job Purpose:
This role will spearhead the development and execution of ACWA Power's strategic digital marketing strategy and initiatives, driving brand enhancement and equity growth through compelling digital content and best-in-class execution. With a focus on results, creativity, and innovation, this leader will ensure all digital efforts deliver measurable engagement, achieve performance targets, and generate significant business impact. This includes leveraging datadriven insights for continuous optimization and alignment with ACWA Power's ambitious vision. Furthermore, the Director will cultivate a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment, fostering creativity and ensuring ongoing professional development through staying abreast of the latest digital marketing trends and technologies
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Digital Marketing Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aligned with the Corporate Communications Strategy and the Company’s 2030 targets.
- Establish and track S-M-A-R-T KPIs across all digital channels, including social media and website, focusing on engagement, reach, lead generation, and customer journey optimization.
- Conduct a benchmarking study against competitors and implement global best practices to ensure ACWA Power maintains its digital leadership in the sector. '
- Optimise team structure and processes to enhance productivity, creativity, and quality.
- Set and manage the annual digital marketing budget, based on strategic priorities and anticipated ROI, while ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Develop a digital governance framework to manage the Company’s digital footprint, ensuring that it's used strategically, effectively across platforms.
Social Media Marketing:
- Create and execute data-driven, creative strategies for all social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) in English & Arabic and other languages (as needed) to target and reach identified target audiences.
- Oversee content creation (text, visuals, video) and execution, ensuring high-quality compelling storytelling, and consistent brand messaging.
- Develop content prioritization processes based on criticality, audience needs, and business relevance.
- Allocate and optimize media spend for key events, campaigns, and always-on activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Analyze monthly performance reports, identifying trends, insights, and actionable improvements. to enhance engagement and reach.
Digital Marketing & Website Management:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of a multi-language website (Arabic, English, Mandarin, with the potential to expand to additional languages based on business needs) to serve diverse stakeholders.
- Ensure seamless integration with key systems such as stock price feeds, SuccessFactors, vendor management portal and other applications.
- Drive content updates to reflect the company’s achievements and milestones.
- Implement SEO best practices, targeting critical keywords to improve organic visibility and running paid search campaigns when necessary.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to future-proof the website (security and accessibility) with a minimum five-year lifespan.
- Negotiate cost-effective maintenance contracts while upholding site performance, security, and accessibility standards.
- Oversee the creation of landing pages for events, campaigns, and adhoc initiatives.
- Ensure website and all digital content adheres to branding guidelines and accessibility standards.
Data Analytics & Reporting:
- Implement and utilize analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.) to track campaign performance.
- Develop and maintain dashboards for reporting key performance indicators.
- Provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations for enhancement and optimization.
Team Management & Culture Building:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing digital team in corporate and regional offices (as applicable) fostering a positive, safe and collaborative work environment.
- Monitor team workloads to ensure continuous growth and learning.”

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay ahead of digital trends, experimenting with new formats, tools, and technologies.
- Evaluate and implement new tools and platforms (including interactive website features) to engagement and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the team while maintaining a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Vendor Selection & Relationship Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select external vendors for social media, digital marketing, and website development in line with Company’s procurement guidelines.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining high-quality output and service levels.
- Develop strong relationships with vendors, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment with ACWA Power’s objectives.
- Monitor vendor performance through regular performance reviews, to ensure alignment with ACWA Power's objectives, whereby challenges are to be proactively addressed and rectified.
- Stay informed about new tools, platforms, and potential partnerships to enhance digital capabilities.
Crisis Communication & Legal Compliance:
- Develop and implement digital crisis communication plans.
- Ensure all digital marketing activities comply with the Company’s Branding guidelines, and legal and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing,, Digital Communications, or a related field.
- Master’s, MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of 10 years ++ of experience in digital marketing, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the energy sector.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing successful digital marketing strategies and initiatives that have driven measurable results, such as increased brand awareness and equity.
- Experience building, managing, and mentoring high-performing digital marketing teams
- Experience working with and managing external marketing agencies.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or multi-billion-dollar global business is preferred.
Skills
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance creativity and performance in developing and implementing long-term digital marketing strategies that align with overall business objectives.
- Deep understanding of digital platforms and trends, content marketing, SEO/SEM, and website management.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), social media management platforms, and CMS to track performance, measure stakeholder engagement, and identify areas for improvement and propose recommendations.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills and capabilities to lead, inspire and motivate the working team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English; Arabic and other languages are a plus.
- Strong financial acumen
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing digital landscape.
- Good understanding of the energy sector is preferrable
