Principal Software Engineer @ Seed Cybersecurity Startup

Location: San Fran (remote)

Confero are partnered with a seed-funded ($5M) Cybersecurity startup, founded by a repeat entrepreneur who spent over 8 years at a leading cybersecurity/data powerhouse.

They have built an AI-native platform that deploys multiple AI agents (or AI Swarms) that help reduce telemetry noise drastically for SOC teams.

They have product-market fit, multiple customers, and a Series A approaching_._

They're hiring a Principal Software Engineer to design and own our data ingestion architecture. You'll build streaming and batch pipelines that handle high-throughput security telemetry, from security logs to cloud events to threat intelligence feeds.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design from scratch, then implement scalable data ingestion systems for massive security datasets

- Build distributed systems for real-time security data processing and analysis

- Make foundational decisions on cloud infrastructure, data modelling, and system architecture

- Own the full stack from ingestion architecture to implementation

Required Qualifications:

- 8+ years of experience building distributed systems

- Deep expertise in streaming architecture and batch processing (Kafka, Spark, Flink)

- Strong background in cloud infrastructure (AWS strongly preferred)

- Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java

- Previous startup experience, especially in early-stage / cybersercurity environments
