Job Description

Senior Rust Developer

We're hiring a Senior Rust Developer to design and build an enterprise-grade, high-performance endpoint application in Rust. The project has a strong open-source core with proprietary extensions, and applies proxy-related architectures and systems-level techniques. The role demands deep expertise in asynchronous runtimes, networking, and low-level performance engineering.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and implement core components of the endpoint application, with a focus on performance, concurrency, and efficient systems-level programming.
• Optimize low-level networking, memory management, and async processing to maximize throughput and minimize latency.
• Build features such as real-time audio streaming, third-party SDK integrations, and live reconfiguration.
• Write clean, maintainable code and uphold strong engineering standards through code reviews and mentorship.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, memory issues, and concurrency bugs in production-grade systems.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and QA to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure software.
• Stay current with the Rust ecosystem and systems programming trends, and bring that back to the team.

Required •

• 8+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years hands-on with Rust.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented and systems design.
• Proven expertise in networking protocols, concurrency, memory management, and low-latency applications.
• Familiarity with microservices, distributed systems, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams, with proven capability to lead and drive team performance
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building real-time audio or video processing applications.
• Experience with edge computing and on-device/edge models, particularly for real-time audio.
• Working knowledge of C/C++ or Python.
• Familiarity with MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) for full-stack collaboration.
