We are looking for a skilled and passionate designer who has a strong background in human-centered design, user research, and visual design. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio that showcases their design capabilities and experience in creating user-centric designs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of clients, consultants, product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions.
• Define and document requirements, overall user experience vision on projects and recommend strategically sound solutions to meet the client’s business needs.
• Translate user needs and business goals into design requirements, considering technological constraints. Assist in design planning and execution.
• Communicate and articulate design artifacts and vision.
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user journeys, user flows, process flows, and site maps in a rapid, iterative fashion.
• Develop high-fidelity designs and responsive prototypes web-mobile and desktop.
• Translate low-fidelity mockups and high-level user acceptance criteria into hi-fidelity comps and detailed design criteria for development.
• Participate in user research and evaluate user feedback to enhance product usability.
• Create and maintain cohesive design systems to ensure consistent user experiences.
• Stay up to date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.

Qualifications

• +6 years of UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills and projects.
• Enterprise-level experience, able to navigate complex political environments.
• Solid craftsmanship in design systems with the ability to be given a concept or strategy and run with interpretation.
• Proficiency with design software such as Figma.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills to present designs, sell solutions, and with confidence to push back when problems are identified.
• Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows.
• Visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
• Experience leveraging innovative platforms and creating reusable components.
• Proficient in creating design systems and establishing design principles.
• Strong understanding of UI patterns, responsive design principles, and best practices.
• Experience in conducting user research, usability testing.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping, preferably with experience using Storybook.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Thrive in a fast-pace environment, working across multiple teams & projects simultaneously.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• A degree in Design, Interaction Design, or a related field is preferred.
