Integration Software Engineer (Automotive)
π Location: REMOTE (but needs to be in the Plano, TX area and should be open to reporting to the office if needed)
π° Pay: $70β73/hour
π Type: Contract (2 months, with potential for extension or full-time conversion)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Integration Software Engineer to join a leading automotive software team focused on next-generation vehicle platforms. This role involves developing, integrating, and validating software across simulation, test, and production environments, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
You will work at the intersection of software, hardware, and systems engineering, supporting the delivery of production-ready vehicle applications in a collaborative Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate software for simulation, testing, and validation, including SIL, HIL, and VIL systems.
- Participate in Agile Scrum development, applying systems engineering principles.
- Partner with platform teams and adapt to evolving tools and frameworks.
- Evaluate, provide feedback, and improve internal tools and platforms for usability and performance.
- Collaborate with and train customers to ensure seamless deployment of next-generation vehicle applications.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3β5+ years of software development experience using C/C++ and Python.
- Experience in embedded software development within automotive or robotics.
- Solid understanding of ECU hardware architecture and standard vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
- Familiarity with Linux kernel modules, device tree modifications, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices in automotive testing environments.
- Understanding of automotive safety standards (ISO26262) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in automotive software development.
- Hands-on experience with automotive build systems and diagnostics.
- Strong adaptability to evolving tools and platforms.
