Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on, driven, creative D2C Growth Marketing Lead to take charge of acquiring, converting, and growing our user base. You will be responsible for driving aggressive and intelligent growth strategies, using AI-generated content, paid and organic channels, and viral marketing loops to grow Vera to hundreds of thousands of users quickly and sustainably.
This is an initial 3-month contract, with the opportunity to extend based on performance.
What You’ll Own
- Full D2C Growth Strategy & Execution: Lead Vera’s direct-to-consumer marketing, focusing on rapid user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- AI-Powered Content Strategy: Work with our AI content tools and influencers like to scale TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Performance Marketing: Develop and execute paid campaigns (Meta, TikTok, Google, influencer collabs) with strict CPA/ROI targets.
- Organic & SEO Growth: Grow and optimize organic content, identify viral hooks, and SEO for AI and human search engines (AI arbiters).
- Landing Page & Funnel Optimization: Drive the design and optimization of lead magnets, email funnels, and conversion rate improvements.
- Data & Analytics: Set up, monitor, and analyze growth KPIs, user acquisition costs (CAC), retention rates, LTV, and iterate on strategy.
- Community & Referral Loops: Build and manage consumer advocacy and referral programs to create viral growth loops.
- Brand & Trust Marketing: Design trust-building marketing campaigns to overcome debt-related stigma and skepticism.
What Success Looks Like
- Hit aggressive user acquisition and conversion targets (100K+ users).
- Establish a scalable, repeatable growth engine.
- Build Vera’s brand as the go-to AI-powered debt coach.
- Collaborate with product and AI teams to align user insights and growth.
- Deliver weekly growth experiments and hit agreed KPIs.
- Build a playbook for future growth hires.
Requirements
- 3+ years in growth marketing, ideally in fintech, consumer tech, or AI startup.
- Proven record of scaling D2C user bases fast (ideally 100K+).
- Deep understanding of social-first platforms (TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, IG).
- Hands-on: you can run, optimize, and analyze campaigns directly, no fluff.
- Experience running multi-channel campaigns with clear results.
- Understanding of conversion funnel optimization, A/B testing, landing pages.
- Creative thinker with experience designing viral, trust-building, value-driven content.
- Familiarity or excitement to work with AI-generated content, influencers, and bots.
- Strong analytics: know your way around GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Looker, or similar tools.
- Bonus: SEO experience, AI marketing tools, startup growth experience.
Nice to Have (Bonus)
- Personal passion for fintech, financial inclusion, or debt management.
- Worked with or grown consumer finance or challenger bank products.
- Have built or led teams but happy to execute solo in a lean environment.
- Experience collaborating with AI teams or tools.
