Senior Python Software Engineer – AI Team (Mercedes Project)

Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time

Location: Remote (Poland or Oradea, Romania)

Work Mode: 100% Remote – occasional travel to Stuttgart (1–2 times per year)

Project Start: January 2026 (team onboarding immediately for knowledge transition)

🚀 About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer (AI Team) to develop high-performance backend systems powering Mercedes-Benz’s AI ecosystem. This role focuses on ML model orchestration, OpenAI integration, and secure Azure deployment pipelines.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python APIs (FastAPI) for ML model deployment & scheduling.
• Integrate with Azure ML SDKs, OpenAI, and AI Search.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Pulumi (Python).
• Implement NLP/OCR pipelines for document intelligence.
• Build monitoring & testing frameworks, ensuring system reliability.

🧠 Technical Expertise Required

• Languages: Python (FastAPI, PyTest, asyncio, ML SDKs)
• Cloud: Azure ML, OpenAI, AI Search
• IaC: Pulumi (Python)
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions
• Monitoring: MLflow, App Insights

💼 What You Bring

• 5+ years of Python development experience with AI/ML integration.
• Proven track record in building scalable backend AI systems.
• Hands-on with IaC, CI/CD, and Azure ecosystem.
