Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Visual Experience Designer to conceptualize and design window displays, pop-up shops, pop-in experiences, and various in-store brand activations. This position focused on fashion and retail storytelling, is available on a freelance or contract basis.

The ideal candidate is a creatively ambitious thinker capable of developing comprehensive spatial concepts while refining the visual details that bring a space to life. You will work closely with our internal team and client stakeholders to translate campaign narratives and seasonal moments into engaging physical experiences.

Candidates should possess a deep understanding of the fashion industry, be well-versed in current trends and culture, and excel at connecting products to stories in an elevated, original, and immersive way.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead creative concept development for window displays, retail activations, and brand moments in physical spaces.
• Develop mood boards, sketches, spatial layouts, and 3D renderings to visualize creative intent.
• Translate seasonal fashion collections or product launches into compelling, tactile experiences in-store.
• Collaborate with strategy, production, fabrication, and digital teams to ensure creative alignment and executional feasibility.
• Attend (virtual or on-site) creative reviews and installation walk-throughs as needed.
• Stay ahead of fashion, design, and cultural trends, and bring this knowledge into your creative proposals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in visual experience design, window design, experiential retail, or fashion brand environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating fashion-forward, conceptual, and immersive spatial design work.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, plus strong skills in 3D design tools like SketchUp, Rhino, or similar.
• Familiarity with materials, production timelines, and fabrication techniques for physical activations.
• Clear, compelling communication skills (verbal and visual).
• Self-directed and proactive with a collaborative spirit.
• Ability to work remotely and adapt quickly in fast-paced environments.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $750.00 - $1,000.00 per day
