Job Summary:
We are seeking a Marketing Systems Developer to lead the development, integration, and optimization of our marketing technology ecosystem. This role is critical in enabling scalable, data-driven marketing by bridging the gap between marketing strategy and technical implementation. You will work closely with Marketing, Data & Analytics, Technology, and external vendors to ensure systems are aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable impact.
Primary Functions:
Systems Development & Integration:
- Assist in building and maintaining integrations between marketing platforms (e.g., CRM, CDP, CMS, ad tech, analytics).
- Develop custom solutions using APIs, webhooks, and middleware to connect platforms and streamline workflows.
- Automate data pipelines between marketing and sales systems for accurate tracking and attribution.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), QA and troubleshooting for integrations and data workflows
Platform Management:
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for key platforms such as HubSpot, Segment, or similar tools.
- Support platform users by diagnosing technical issues and providing resolution paths.
- Maintain documentation of known issues and resolutions within martech stack.
- Evaluate and implement new martech solutions that support personalization, automation, and data activation.
Data Partnership:
- Partner with the Data & Analytics team, ensure consistent data definitions, accurate data flow and hygiene across marketing systems.
- Partner with analytics and data teams to ensure the integrity of campaign data, audience segments, and reporting.
Process Optimization:
- Assist in the development of reusable modules and templates for campaign execution.
- Optimize marketing workflows to improve scalability, speed to market, and performance measurement.
- Assist in the development of automated alerts and dashboards to proactively detect data issues in marketing platforms.
Security & Compliance:
- Ensure systems comply with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and company security standards.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in marketing technology, systems engineering, or a related technical role.
- Proficiency in API integrations, JavaScript, Python, SQL, and web technologies (HTML/CSS).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in diagnosing data and integration issues.
- Exceptional written communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documents.
- Experience with platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, Adobe Experience Cloud, Segment, or CDPs.
- Familiarity with data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake) and ETL platforms.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing practices including lead lifecycle, segmentation, and attribution.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, cross-functional communication, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience with tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager) a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project management methodologies a plus.
- Prior experience working in B2B, B2B2C or high-growth SaaS environments a plus
