Overview
College Golf Experience (CGX) is seeking a data-driven, results-oriented Marketing Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of CGX’s digital marketing strategy. You’ll be responsible for managing paid campaigns, generating high-performing ads, optimizing conversions, and reporting on KPIs — while ensuring alignment across email, social, content, event marketing, and CGX’s digital products, including the first-of-its-kind Content Platform and The Universal Golf Rankings (TUGR).

This role is the engine behind CGX’s growth, working closely with the Marketing Director to connect strategy with execution. If you love performance marketing, analytics, and creative testing, this is your chance to directly influence revenue, registrations, brand expansion, and the growth of CGX’s digital platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Advertising & Paid Media (High Focus)

  • Own paid campaign strategy, execution, and optimization across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Generate scroll-stopping ad creative and test multiple variants of headlines, visuals, and CTAs for maximum performance.
  • Manage ad budgets, bidding strategies, and daily spend allocation to achieve ROI targets.
  • Build A/B and multivariate testing frameworks to continually improve conversion rates and reduce acquisition costs.
  • Monitor campaigns daily, pausing underperformers and reallocating budget to high-performing ads in real time.
  • Develop a creative performance library to track winning ad formats, messaging, and trends.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Build and maintain marketing dashboards to track KPIs across paid, email, web, and social platforms.
  • Provide weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights for optimization.
  • Tie every initiative to registrations, conversions, revenue, and ROI to measure true impact.
  • Present findings to the Marketing Director and leadership team, highlighting opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Content & Campaign Execution

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and Social Media Coordinator to ensure integrated campaigns across all channels.
  • Create digital assets for ads, email, social, and events using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Partner with the Marketing Director to develop messaging frameworks that align ad copy, email campaigns, and landing pages for cohesive storytelling.
  • Support media capture during camps to produce high-performing content for ads and campaigns.

Email, Automation & Website

  • Build and optimize email campaigns and automated flows in Klaviyo to improve open, click, and conversion rates.
  • Create conversion-focused landing pages in WordPress/Divi, ensuring alignment between ads, messaging, and user experience.
  • Integrate CGX’s Content Platform and TUGR deliverables into digital campaigns to enhance engagement and reach.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Partner with the Marketing Director to define channel-specific KPIs and benchmark performance goals.
  • Leverage GA4, Meta Business Suite, and other analytics tools to make data-driven decisions.
  • Use insights from testing and reporting to refine ad strategy, creative direction, and targeting.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and platform updates to maximize digital performance.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator to ensure brand consistency and aligned priorities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Events, Operations, and Business Development to maximize marketing impact.
  • Act as the bridge between creative, analytics, and campaign execution — making sure strategy and performance stay aligned.

KPIs & Success Metrics

You will be directly accountable for measurable growth in the following areas:

  • Paid Media ROI: Reduce cost-per-registration and maximize return on ad spend.
  • Ad Performance: Maintain and improve CTR, conversion rate, and engagement metrics.
  • Registrations & Revenue: Drive camp sign-ups and bottom-line growth.
  • Email Performance: Achieve benchmark improvements in open, click, and conversion rates.
  • Reporting & Insights: Deliver accurate, actionable reporting to guide business decisions.

Ideal Candidate

  • 3–5+ years of experience in digital marketing, paid media management, or growth marketing.
  • Proven success managing Meta, Google, and multi-platform ad campaigns.
  • Strong proficiency in analytics tools (GA4, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Klaviyo).
  • Experience creating, testing, and optimizing high-performing ad creative.
  • Comfortable managing budgets, forecasting ROI, and driving performance accountability.
  • Data-driven problem solver with excellent reporting and storytelling skills.
  • Passion for sports, golf, and college athletics is a plus.
