About Us
Marble is a fintech infrastructure startup, backed by VCs and Hexa.
We build a groundbreaking open-source decision engine for banks, payment service providers and marketplaces.
The Opportunity: Your Mission
As our first dedicated Product Designer, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the user experience of a powerful, data-rich platform from the ground up. Your mission is to translate the complexity of fraud detection and investigation into a simple, intuitive, and powerful interface for our users. You'll work directly with the founders to set the design vision and create a product that not only looks good but empowers financial institutions to make critical decisions with confidence.
What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end design process, from wireframes and user flows to high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
- Design intuitive dashboards, complex data visualizations, and streamlined workflows for new and existing features (approx. 2/3 of your time).
- Elevate and unify our existing product experience, focusing on improving navigation, usability, and overall UX.
- Build, maintain, and extend our Design System in Figma to ensure consistency and accelerate development.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, CTO, and two front-end developers in a tight feedback loop, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
Who We're Looking For: Skills & Experience
- A Proven B2B/SaaS Designer: You have a strong portfolio with a proven track record of designing complex, user-facing web applications. Experience with enterprise software, analytics dashboards, or the fintech/banking sector is a significant plus.
- A UX Strategist: You excel at making the complex simple. You design interfaces that don't just look good but feel intuitive, and you obsess over edge cases to create a robust user experience.
- A Figma Pro: You are highly proficient with modern Figma practices, including auto-layout, variants, and creating scalable Design Systems.
- A Pragmatic Collaborator: You thrive working hand-in-hand with developers. You know how to communicate design decisions clearly, give and receive constructive feedback, and find pragmatic solutions.
- Detail-Oriented: You can design for a range of screen sizes (desktop-focused) and are mindful of challenges like internationalization.
- Team Player: You're willing to occasionally assist with visual assets for our website or blog to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
How We Work At Marble
- We are a small, lean team of seasoned industry experts with the ambition to remake anti-fraud from the bottom up.
- We plan for the long game but focus on fast value. We choose the simplest solution and iterate quickly. We compromise on feature breadth rather than security or usability.
- We are opinionated, but set our ego aside. We discuss, commit, execute.
- We are pragmatic and we execute fast on our decisions. We are perseverant when facing challenges but review plans if we hit a roadblock.
- We excel at our job but work beyond our field of expertise. No task is below us.
- We always take ownership - but also know when to share it.
- We value output over input. We allow for flexibility and optimize for focus time.
