Seeking a Data Scientist to join the Real World Evidence (RWE) Analytics team within HEOR. This role focuses on designing, executing, and interpreting large-scale analyses using real-world data (RWD) to address strategic healthcare questions and support therapeutic area (TA) needs. The ideal candidate will serve as the analytics lead for assigned TAs, translating business problems into analytical frameworks and delivering actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute real-world data analyses to inform decision-making and identify care gaps
- Act as SME and primary analytics point-of-contact for a designated therapeutic area
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Medical, HEOR, RWE, Business Units)
- Present complex results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support development of data dictionaries, standardized coding, and documentation
- Drive efficiencies and solutions in analytical operations
- Conduct literature reviews and support external data acquisition if needed
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, or related field required; PhD preferred
- 1–2+ years of hands-on experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python (Python and ML preferred)
- Experience working with large-scale healthcare datasets (claims, EMR, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a matrixed environment
- Prior exposure to UNIX/Hadoop environments is a plus
