Role Overview
The Senior UX/UI Designer is the driving force behind user engagement and happiness across our ecosystem. This experienced professional is not only skilled in collecting and interpreting user requirements to craft intuitive and visually compelling interface elements but is also strategic in advancing branding initiatives that broaden our clients' impact and market presence.
Leading workshops, this role is central to the iterative process of user experience refinement, analyzing feedback, and facilitating a productive dialogue between customers and design teams. With a hands-on approach, the Senior UXUI Designer ensures the delivery of seamless, effective user journeys that align with business goals and resonate profoundly with users.
Working as the Design team lead in most projects, the Senior Designer is instrumental in guiding the Development Team through the design and implementation phases, guaranteeing that our implementation of ServiceNow products evolve to meet and exceed the dynamic standards of excellence in user experience
What You’ll Do
User Experience Design and Strategy:
- Lead User Research to deeply understand customer needs, identify difficulties, and create solutions that seamlessly integrate with the ServiceNow framework.
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with clients.
- Define and communicate the user experience design strategy, vision, and guiding principles, articulating a clear vision and establishing guiding principles that resonate with senior customers and align with broader business objectives.
- Innovate and advise the exploration of divergent design solutions, develop detailed user flows, and build high-fidelity mockups and prototypes to effectively conceptualize design ideas.
Collaboration And Leadership
- Collaborate with your design team to implement strategic visions while giving outstanding insights and value.
- Build productive and collaborative relationships with internal teams, clients, and multi-functional peers, encouraging an environment of open communication and shared goals.
- Drive high-level strategic decisions with clients, users, and developers, balancing experienced opinions with customer needs.
- Offer mentorship and guidance to other designers and team members, encouraging an environment conducive to professional development.
- Uphold and advocate for organizational policies and internal processes with a focus on continuous improvement and compliance.
- Contribute as Domain Expert to any presales opportunities, as needed.
Design Execution And Innovation
- Demonstrate design concepts using tools like wireframes, mockups, storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps, applying software such as Adobe XD, Figma, FigJam, Miro, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Keynote.
- Craft intuitive graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets, adhering to ServiceNow's design standard processes.
- Lead all aspects of design alignment with ServiceNow standard processes and project roadmaps, collaborating closely with the team for detailed execution.
- Stay updated on the latest strategies, industry standards, and innovative ways to craft, consistently striving for higher quality.
Communication And Advocacy
- Conduct and moderate workshops to gather comprehensive information about users, setting success metrics for clients and customers that reflect upper management perspectives.
- Clearly rationalize and explain design work, advocating for users' needs and ensuring that designs meet those needs optimally.
- Deliver polished designs by paying meticulous attention to details and following through on execution with the development team.
- Expertly balance the act of listening with the necessity to advocate for informed design solutions, maintaining a strong commitment to user-centric design principles at the senior level.
What You Bring To The Role
- Bachelor's degree in a related design subject area, equivalent design education experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience of UX and UI design programs
- Desirable: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- Desirable: ITIL Foundations
- 4+ years of relevant experience designing, building, and shipping interfaces and
- experiences for web and mobile.
- Experience with SaaS products is an asset.
- Experience with designing for ServiceNow is desirable
