Front End Software Engineer, 3D Applications

We’re building the tools that help companies make sense of virtual worlds — and we’re looking for a front-end engineer who loves turning complex data into immersive, interactive web experiences.
You’ll play a key role in developing SceneExplorer, our flagship 3D replay tool that shows exactly what happened in a customer’s immersive simulation. (Check it out: https://cognitive3d.com/product/scene-explorer/)

About Cognitive3D
We build a platform that records, measures, and analyzes data from VR, AR, and MR experiences. Our tools help customers:

What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain 3D web front-end features using WebGL (WebGPU, three.js)
- Build immersive and performant visualizations integrated into our web dashboard
- Own feature development from design through implementation
- Collaborate across design, backend, and product teams
- Participate in code reviews, internal knowledge sharing, and technical documentation
- Continuously learn and evaluate tools, workflows, and frameworks
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in front-end development
- Strong background in WebGL or similar WebGL/3D frameworks like three.js or babylon.js
- Experience with browser-based 3D simulations or visualizations
- Solid web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript)
- Experience with React or Angular and state management (Redux, MobX, etc.)
- Familiarity with Webpack, Vite, or modern build tools
- Great communication skills, including technical documentation
- Ability to break down work into features, tasks, and deliverables
Nice to Have
- Experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, or PlayCanvas
- VR/AR/MR development background
- Experience with agile teams and DevOps culture
- (We use “agile light” — backlog, sprints, and t-shirt-sized estimates — and believe strongly in DevOps to boost developer velocity.)
