We are at Coforge hiring for Java Scala Engineer with Java, Scala OR Spark and AWS DevOps tools in Madrid Spain

Responsibilities

• Work across different tasks and adjust to changing priorities as needed.
• Build, test, and support applications using Java and/or Spark-Scala.
• Help deliver and maintain finance data solutions, especially those running on AWS Cloud.
• Support daily operations (BAU) and help solve technical issues.
• Report to a Software Engineering Manager and interact with the development team, product owner, and business stakeholders.
• Share knowledge, write clear documentation, and help promote teamwork and a positive team spirit.
• Take part in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Analyse current technical implementations and look for ways to improve systems and processes.
• Provide technical support and training to technical leads on technology systems and data management tools.
• Support and help guide less experienced team members towards team and departmental goals.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience with Java 8 and higher and/or Spark-Scala.
• Good understanding of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with AWS Cloud services, especially for data migrations.
• Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with container tools such as Rabbit MQ

Nice to have

• -Some Spanish language knowledge.
• -Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
